Redwood City Library Project READ wins Kent Award and More
Redwood City Public Library’s Project READ, in collaboration with Cañada College, recently received the Kent award and congressional recognition for its Inmate Peer Tutor Program, a project which enables inmates to earn college credits by successfully completing a specialized literacy program with Project READ volunteer tutors. Details

ALA/LAMA PR Awards Sweep by Burlingame Public Library
At the American Library Association annual convention in Anaheim in June, the Brulingame Public Library won an unprecedented seven awards for public relations and graphic art. Library director, Al Escoffier, credited the library's graphic artist, Maryam Refahi for earning the great honor.
