To view a list of all the listservs hosted by PLS for its member libraries as well as those for libraries and staff in BALIS and SVLS, go to: listserv.plsinfo.org
Click on the hyperlink for the listserv you are interested in. For example, let's say you're interested in joining the PLS Teen Services List. Just click on PLSTEENSERVICES. (Note: Some lists are closed and are only open to committee or council members.) You will be taken to to join the list.
To join the list, click on the link, "Join or leave the list." Follow the easy instructions on how to subscribe to a list. There are also other options that you can select, such as requesting copies of your own postings to be sent to you, temporarily disabling mail delivery (when you go on vacation), and so forth.
After you join a list, you'll receive a welcoming email that will contain additional information and instructions. Please keep a copy for your records.
To view any listserv archive you must use the email address that you or the PLS listserv administrator used to subscribe to the list. The first time you log in to the listserv archives, type your email address in the user name field and a password you choose in the password field. If your chosen password does not work, trying clicking on "get a new password" and use that screen to change the password. Please refer to the following documentation on accessing a listserv archive.
